2023 Goals: How to set and achieve objectives
2023 doesn't represent just a New Year. It represents a possible new you. New beginnings are moments when you can start with a "blank slate." They are fresh starts. And don't we all need a 'do over' from time to time? Special dates can allow us to review where we are and plan a better future. Dates like -
- New Year
- Changing seasons
- Starting a new school year
- Any sort of anniversary
Allow yourself time to reflect, assess, and plan a new future.
Time to Reflect, Plan and Act
Are you ready to change? Yes? Great! Get started with the first step:
Reflect on where you are today and what parts of your life are working for you and those that still need work.
Plan Once you have assessed yourself, make a change plan. Start small, you want to succeed. So don't expect too much, but make a plan than creates a trend toward where you want to go. What you want to change, and make a list of the steps to get there.
Act Change is hard. Action is required to make improvements real and sustainable. From your plan, define 3 actions you will take every week to make improvements. Keep each action small and doable. Track your success to keep your focus and encourage yourself to keep going.
