This newsletter will introduce our upcoming seminars at the Summit 2024.
Research and Innovation
The instructors for this seminar come from TU Delft and Hogeschool Utrecht. We will have two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, as outlined below:
- Overview of project management research: Marian and Steven will present a broad overview of recent project management research, aiming to unveil its potential for practice and highlighting trends in PM research. The overview contains recent graduation projects from the HU and TUD. Discussions will focus on enhancing the collaboration between researchers and practitioners.
- Deep dive into project management research: Two specific research projects will be presented in detail, aiming to illustrate the set-up (research design), execution (data gathering and analysis), and dissemination (implications for research and practice and conclusions) of state-of-the-art research projects.
Future of Enterprise Project Management with AI
This engaging seminar will explore how AI impacts Enterprise Project Management, leading to greater project success.
- Evolving trends in AI within project & portfolio management;
- How AI is already impacting project work and the role of project managers;
- Insights from PMI research on AI’s growing impact;
- Dive deep into real-world examples of AI supporting enterprise project management and leading to project success.
AI Tools in Project Management
This presentation will focus on basic AI tools that any project manager can use without prior technical knowledge. We will cover accessible AI applications such as AI-powered task management, simple predictive analytics for risk assessment, and user-friendly automation tools for routine tasks. Real-world examples will show how these tools can seamlessly integrate into everyday project management practices.
Leading business sustainability transformation projects
Increasing regulatory requirements and the prioritization of ESG factors by investors and consumers are driving companies to adopt ESG practices, disclose their sustainability efforts, and transform into sustainable organizations, creating new opportunities for project and program managers to drive this change. The presentation will provide practical steps for managing business sustainability transformation projects. It will cover essential strategies, tools, and resources to overcome common challenges and successfully execute these projects.
Hybrid Agile, the pitfalls
Moving from a traditional Waterfall project management approach to Agile is a significant shift. While some organizations aim for a pure Agile transformation, many end up with a hybrid approach due to various challenges and pitfalls. This seminar will collect the pitfalls from the audience and give feedback on the common pitfalls many companies struggle with.
