As we look back on the PMI BeNeLux Summit 2025, I feel a great sense of pride and gratitude. This outstanding event marked a series of firsts for our community. With nearly 400 project professionals in attendance and a record number of sponsoring partners, it was our largest and most ambitious summit to date.

The event was powered by over 35 passionate volunteers from across the Benelux and beyond, working tirelessly behind the scenes to bring this vision to life. Their professionalism, energy, and teamwork reflected everything that makes our PMI community so special.

A Day of Ideas and Insights

The theme, Project Management in the AI Era: Bridging Precision, Creativity, and Innovation, perfectly captured the conversations and insights that defined the day. Together, we explored how artificial intelligence is reshaping the world of projects while reaffirming that human leadership, empathy, and creativity remain at the core of success, along with the growing importance of sustainability.

Key takeaways included:

• Emotional intelligence plays a key role in preparing for massive technological disruption, as emphasized by Christian Kromme.
• Integrating AI into sustainability strategies can unlock significant benefits. For example, 52 percent of organizations that have done so report improved cost savings, compared with 32 percent of those still in the exploration stage.
• The future of project management is hybrid, blending predictive and adaptive approaches to deliver true value, a key insight from Bart Briers.
