General Assembly Meeting and proposed amendments to our bylaws
We invite all of our PMI Netherlands Chapter Members to join our General Assembly Meeting on December 11, 2025, where the PMI Netherlands Chapter Board will present and discuss proposed amendments to our chapter’s bylaws.
These updates are designed to align our chapter with PMI’s new global membership model. While your individual membership experience will remain largely the same, these changes are expected to bring meaningful benefits to our chapter community and to you as a member.
What Stays the Same
- The total annual dues for 2026 (PMI + local chapter membership) will not change.
What Will Change
- Annual dues will be set jointly by PMI and the local chapter.
- PMI members living in the Netherlands will automatically receive dual membership - both PMI Global and PMI Netherlands Chapter.
Why It Matters
For Our Chapter: This change is expected to grow our membership base significantly, strengthening our local professional network and expanding opportunities for shared learning and collaboration.
For Members:
- Simplified Access: One single, integrated membership
- Expanded Network: Connection with a larger, more diverse group of project professionals from across industries.
- Improved Experience: Greater investment in local programs, events, and resources that support your professional growth.
Additional Bylaw Updates
To ensure our governance remains compliant with Dutch law and good practice:
- Articles 24 and 25 include legally required updates.
- Article 26 is a recommended addition that formalizes our existing chapter practices.
These changes are intended to improve transparency, strengthen accountability, and keep our chapter aligned with national regulations.
