A warm welcome to all PMI members, fellow project managers, and enthusiasts!

I'm Farnaz Hanifeh, the newest addition to the PMI NL family. It's a pleasure to introduce myself to you all!

Picture this: a former business analyst walks into a sustainable IT seminar. You might expect them to be more comfortable with spreadsheets than with sustainability, right? Well, hold onto your eco-friendly hats because, in my case, that's exactly the surprise twist in my career story!

Coming from a background in business analysis in the telecom sector, I am an expert at analyzing complex problems and coming up with practical solutions. But here's the twist—I've decided to trade my spreadsheets for sustainability! You read it correctly. I've started on a journey to combine my analytical skills with my enthusiasm for sustainability and energy efficiency in IT.

After completing my master's in Software Engineering and Green IT, I recently graduated from the University of Amsterdam with an innovative thesis on blockchain-based systems. My focus? Prioritizing energy efficiency as an essential element of this modern technology.

Now, why PMI NL, you ask? Well, I've joined as a "Workshop Lead" in the PMI NL Chapter Professional Development Team to make a difference while also making personal growth and building connections. Whether it's lending a hand to those in need, learning new skills, or connecting with like-minded individuals, the aim remains the same: to contribute positively to the community we believe in.

The combination of business, consultancy, and commitment to sustainability in IT perfectly appeals to my personal and professional interests. Now, I'm looking for new opportunities where I can bring my skills in data analysis, reporting, and sustainable IT to the table!
