Meet our volunteer: Anna Aufill
Greetings!
I’m Anna, Treasury/ Chapter Accountant, helping to ensure the Chapter’s finances run smoothly. I’m happy to participate in the Chapter's successes and be part of this active and engaged professional community.
I grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia in the U.S., a stone’s throw from Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. At heart I’m a nature lover, but I’m in Europe for the culture, history, arts, the charming town, and the vibrant cityscape.
Now I’ve lived in Europe for nearly 20 years, in France first, and now I’m settled down, happily married, living outside Hoofddorp. For hobbies, I like biking of course, taking care of my Keeshond, Ollie, my cat, Miles, and my 6 chickens (yes, they all have names), sightseeing around NL and travelling to more exotic places like India. I also like Zumba, yoga, pottery, and adventurous (spicy!), international food.
I have worked as a freelancer and in small and large organizations, from non-profits to multinational corporations. My background is colorful and ranges from the language arts (French studies, translation, copyediting) to urban planning and sustainability, digital marketing, finance, and project management.
What I find so exciting about the project management discipline is its ability to propel people and projects to greatness. Maximizing project success to elevate our world is a virtue that I really stand behind.
The PMI Netherlands Chapter is not only valuable for professional development, but it is easy to make new friends with people from very diverse backgrounds to learn and share with. The Chapter truly embodies its core value of being welcoming and curious.
I invite you to connect with me on LinkedIn for project management, pets, travel, ceramics, etc. and I look forward to meeting you soon!
