Meet our volunteer: Tricia Diamond
Hello PMI Netherlands. I am Tricia Diamond and I am excited to be serving the PMI Netherlands community’s social media needs.
Originally from the United States, I lived in the Netherlands for 17 years during my earlier career. My ex-husband is Dutch, and during that time I not only raised two children, became a Dutch citizen, learned Dutch and had a successful career but also earned academic degrees at Dutch universities. After a decade in the US and earning another masters and a doctorate, I am returning to the Netherlands permanently as a single empty nester and looking forward to reconnecting with the Dutch professional community.
I bring extensive program and portfolio management experience, including directing a $386 million ARPA Implementation PMO. I hold multiple PMI certifications including PMP, PMI-ACP, and PMO-CP, and I am currently preparing for my PfMP certification exam in March 2026.
Beyond my project/program/portfolio management career, I am deeply committed to cultural preservation through Treme Diamond, my enterprise documenting five centuries of my family’s New Orleans musical heritage. This work includes preserving the legacy of my father, Billy Diamond, who was Fats Domino’s original bassist and mentored by Louis Armstrong, as well as my cousin Shirley Goodman of Shirley & Lee. Managing Treme Diamond has given me extensive experience in digital storytelling, social media strategy, and community engagement. These skills complement my project management expertise and enable me to support PMI Netherlands’ communications and social media needs in meaningful ways.
Throughout my career with PMI, I have focused on creating meaningful professional development opportunities. Most recently, I was the Vice President of Professional Development and I organized Professional Development Days 2025 in Seattle, which featured keynote speaker Rich Sheridan and earned a mayoral proclamation. I am passionate about building communities where project professionals can grow their skills and advance their careers.
The PMI organization has offered me tremendous opportunities to develop professionally while contributing to the field I love. I am eager to bring this same energy to PMI Netherlands and to learn from this chapter’s unique perspectives on project management in the European context while serving up engaging social media campaigns.
I look forward to meeting many of you at upcoming events and contributing to the vibrant PMI Netherlands community.
