Mentorship Workshop
On May 31st, the Mentorship program hosted its first webinar of the year, entitled "Experts live in their box, high-performers out-of-the-box," led by guest speaker Sven Gellens (threon).
PMI members, while following the gold standard for project management, are often part of or responsible for creating high-performing teams.
Although operating 'within the box' (industrial standards), high performers are thought to function 'outside of this box.' Which brings us to the question: what does this mean for teams as a whole (both in a hybrid and agile environment)?
During the session, Sven Gellens gave insights into the following:
- What defines a novice vs. an expert?
- Is there a difference between being a high performer and an expert?
- How do you develop expertise ?
We were happy to see that this midday session was attended by both participants of the mentorship program and PMI NL members, and the feedback received has been positive.
