As we celebrate 25 years of PMI Netherlands, we’re not only reflecting on our journey as a professional community, but we’re also marking this milestone with something that will grow for years to come.

To honor this anniversary, PMI partnered with Evertreen to plant 100 trees in our chapter's name. And we’re part of something even bigger: alongside 60 other milestone chapters worldwide, a total of 6,100 trees have been planted in 2026 in Kenya and Madagascar.

These trees were planted by local farmers, supporting not only environmental sustainability but also local livelihoods. At the planting site, a commemorative plaque now bears our chapter's name, standing alongside fellow milestone chapters as a shared symbol of impact and connection.

What makes this initiative even more special is that its impact continues to grow. Through the PMI forest dashboard, you can see in real time how these trees contribute to CO₂ reduction, ecosystem restoration, and job creation for local communities. It’s a powerful reminder that even small actions, when taken together, can create lasting change.

With Earth Day (22 April) still fresh in our minds, this is a meaningful moment to reflect on what our chapter represents. Not just years of professional excellence, but a commitment to building a better, more sustainable world. Through our work, our projects, and our community.
