Research Awards (Zoekies) 2023/2024

PMI Netherlands Chapter and IPMA Netherlands jointly organize the annual presentation of the Project Management Research Awards (Zoekies).

These Awards were established to strengthen research in the field of project, program or portfolio management in the Netherlands and to provide project practitioners with new insights and practical ideas.

Bachelor's and Master’s theses within the above-mentioned fields from the academic year 2023/2024 will be assessed by a professional jury consisting of academics and experienced project managers.

The entries will be assessed on:

• a clear innovative contribution to the field of project management,

• the potential to improve project performance,

• the possibility of applying the findings in the field,

The thesis must be accompanied by a supporting letter from the thesis supervisor, or mentor (max. 1 A4) for the nomination. The language of the thesis may be either Dutch or English.

Please note: the closing date for submissions is September 15, 2024!

Based on the submissions, the jury will draw up a shortlist of nominees for the award. If you are shortlisted, you will be asked to participate in several marketing activities that will draw attention to you, your thesis and the Award ceremony that will take place in March/April 2025. With this visibility, you will immediately increase your career opportunities within the field!

On the award evening, you will have the opportunity to discuss your findings with an audience of practitioners. Depending on the number of nominees, this will be a screening of videos with Q&A or a series of parallel Q&A sessions. The emphasis is on interaction, with the award ceremony taking place at the end.

The award event is open to academics, students, business and project professionals, as well as nominees and their guests.
