Hands-on usage of AI for PMs – Making project artifacts across the project lifecycle using AI

Power Skills

Artificial intelligence has the potential to transform not only how project managers think and communicate, but also how they create the essential deliverables that drive successful projects. While many professionals are already experimenting with AI, few are fully leveraging its ability to accelerate the production of high-quality project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

From initiating a project to planning, executing, monitoring, and closing it, project managers are responsible for creating and maintaining a wide range of artefacts. Business cases, project charters, stakeholder analyses, communication plans, risk registers, lessons learned reports, and many more. Traditionally, producing these deliverables requires significant effort and time. With the right AI-supported approach, much of this work can be accelerated, improved, and standardised, while still maintaining professional oversight and accountability.

This session builds directly on the practical PMI Infinity workshop presented by Kerry Brooks from PMI Global. Having explored how PMI Infinity can support project professionals in their daily work, we now take the next step: using PMI Infinity to systematically generate and refine the key deliverables required across the entire project lifecycle.

This session is the seventh workshop in a 10-part series exploring how AI can support and transform project management.

In this session, you will explore:

  • How AI can assist in creating project deliverables across all project phases
  • How to generate and refine business cases, project charters, stakeholder matrices, and communication plans
  • How to create risk registers, issue logs, requirements documentation, and project reports using AI
  • How to structure prompts and workflows to produce reliable and reusable deliverables
  • How to review, validate, and improve AI-generated deliverables in practice while maintaining ownership and accountability

You will leave with:

  • Practical techniques for creating project artefacts faster and more effectively
  • A collection of reusable prompts and workflows to produce common project management deliverables
  • A framework for using AI as an assistant along the entire project lifecycle

Through live demonstrations and hands-on exercises, participants will learn how to use AI as a collaborative project assistant to create professional project artefacts more efficiently, while ensuring quality, consistency, and project governance. By combining project management expertise with AI capabilities, you can reduce administrative effort and focus more time on leadership, stakeholder engagement, and delivering project value.

Throughout the AI series, participants progressively develop key capabilities, from structuring AI workflows and mastering prompts to understanding risks, fine-tuning models, building AI agents, and anticipating the future of work. In this workshop, the focus shifts to one of the most practical applications of AI: turning project information into the deliverables that enable successful project execution.
