At PMI Netherlands Chapter, we’re building a strong and inclusive community for Young Professionals (under 35) to develop their skills, connect with like-minded peers, and grow into future leaders of the profession.

Whether you’re exploring project management for the first time, working toward certification, or already managing your first real-world projects — you’ll find inspiration, guidance, and opportunity here.

The Young Professionals community is a dedicated initiative within the PMI Netherlands Chapter focused on:

• Students from Dutch universities and applied sciences (HBO/WO)
• Young professionals in their early careers (up to age 35)
• Anyone looking to learn, grow, and contribute in the world of project, program, or portfolio management

Our goal is to help young professionals build capabilities, confidence, and connections through education, experience, and engagement.

Our programs and opportunities include:

 

• CAPM4Students:

 

High-quality training to prepare for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) exam, designed especially for students. Includes expert instruction, exam enrollment, and PMI membership.

 

• Research Awards

Recognizing and celebrating outstanding academic work in project management by students in the Netherlands. Submit your thesis and get the recognition you deserve.

 

•  Buddy Program

New to PMI? Get paired with a peer in the community through our Buddy Program. A great way to settle in, share experiences, and grow together.

 

•  Mentorship Program

Looking for guidance? Join our Mentorship Program and connect with experienced PMI professionals who can support your growth and help shape your career.

 

• Events & Networking

Participate in in-house days, career sessions, networking drinks, guest lectures, and university collaborations throughout the year — all with a focus on building your professional future.
