Projects are one of the main ways organisations turn strategy into change, making project professionals increasingly important actors in the sustainability transition. But what does it actually mean to integrate sustainability into project management?

This webinar explores the role that project management professionals and PMOs can play in turning sustainability commitments into practical project decisions and ways of working. Participants will be introduced to practical approaches for integrating the provisions, tools and guidance contained in the PMI® GPM® sustainability standards into project management practice, helping projects and organisations contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals.

The session will present strategies to embed sustainability into project governance and activities, along with tools to support the identification, assessment and management of sustainability impacts throughout project delivery.

The webinar will also introduce the Certified Sustainable Project Professional (CSPP)™ certification pathway and its role in developing the knowledge and capabilities required to integrate sustainability into project practice.

Miriam Lanzetta, PMP®, CSPP™, is Head of International Projects at Lascò and Vice President of PMI Southern Italy. She is a project manager specialising in EU-funded projects on digital transformation, sustainability and innovation in education and training, and has led international projects involving more than 100 organisations across 30 countries. Miriam has contributed to more than 30 EU-funded initiatives, including projects recognised as good practices by the United Nations Global Compact for their contribution to the SDGs. She has spoken at international events on project management, sustainability and digital education alongside EU representatives, academic leaders and industry experts. A member of expert evaluator pools for European funding bodies, she has also contributed to analyses, tools and strategic recommendations for the European Commission aimed at strengthening education and training systems across EU regions for the twin transition.
