Daily project activities are heavily dependent on virtual communication nowadays. The new-normal forces project managers to find better communication strategies in virtual environment that can help them tackle challenges in managing different stakeholders and motivating teams.

In a virtual community, collaboration and engagement with stakeholders is challenging but very critical for project success!  How can project managers coordinate communication in a way that stakeholders are able to discuss different views and collaboratively reach mutually agreeable project objectives in a virtual platform?  How can project managers engage key stakeholders much better in the virtual environment so that their intention is communicated effectively with the rest of stakeholders?

People issues are the most frustrating aspect of project work. Without a high-performing and dedicated team focusing on fulfilling the project's objectives and the organization's strategic vision, it is nearly impossible to achieve the project's scope, time, and cost objectives. Because of the new-normal, not only each customer/client presents challenges, but also virtual communication itself brings additional challenges. What can project managers do differently in the virtual environment so that it can result in motivating and encouraging the positive behavior in the team?

If you have the similar questions, next Knowledge Sharing Café event is the right place to ask other project managers and learn their strategies used to solve problems in the virtual environment. This time, there will be two topics discussed at the same time on Wonder platform: "Stakeholder Management in Virtual Environment" and "Team Motivation in Virtual Environment".  This time the event will start with shorter introduction so that there will be more time for open space discussions. After introduction, participants will choose one topic, move to designated area on the Wonder board for this topic and make their own discussion circles. Participants can move easily from one circle to another or one subject area to another, when they want. Before the closure, participants will come together one more time and the final remarks will be shared. The Wonder environment will continue to be open afterwards for those who want to extend their discussions or in-depth connection with a fellow member.

After signing up for this event, you will receive a PMI-NL Wonder url link. Please don't forget to bookmark this web address once you received it and create a profile on Wonder before the meeting time.
